BIBL201: Old Testament Prophets

3 Credits Year 2 Associate Bachelor

Course Overview

The biblical prophet is not primarily a predictor of future events but a covenant messenger — one who speaks God's word to God's people on God's behalf. The Hebrew nabi means 'one who is called' or 'one who speaks for another.' The prophet stands in the divine council (Jeremiah 23:18), receives the word of the Lord, and declares it with authority: 'Thus says the Lord.'

We believe financial hardship should not automatically prevent a sincere and committed student from receiving biblical education. Students living in developing nations, low-income communities, or difficult personal circumstances may ask the college to consider reduced tuition or financial assistance.

Assistance may include reduced tuition, partial or full sponsorship, bursaries, scholarships, or a special hardship arrangement. Each request is reviewed individually. We consider the student's circumstances, location, financial need, ministry calling, educational goals, ability to contribute, and commitment to completing the course.

Financial assistance is not automatic and is not granted without accountability. Students receiving assistance are expected to participate faithfully, complete their coursework, communicate with the college, and follow the conditions of the assistance provided. Assistance may be reviewed, adjusted, renewed, or discontinued according to the student's participation, progress, circumstances, and available resources.

All assistance requires individual review, approval, and appropriate accountability.
