Course Purpose
- Every course in this curriculum assumes students will eventually preach. Homiletics finally teaches them how.
- The difference between a person who has something to say and a person who can deliver it in a way people actually receive is learnable — it is not merely a gift.
- Preaching is not performance. It is the faithful delivery of God's Word through a human vessel — and both the faithfulness and the delivery can be trained.
Why This Course Matters
- Weak preaching is not a neutral thing. A congregation fed on unclear, unfaithful, or poorly delivered preaching will be stunted regardless of the preacher's sincerity.
- The world is full of people who have something to say but cannot say it in a way anyone can receive. Homiletics is the discipline that bridges the gap.
- Great preaching is theology lived out loud — it requires everything this curriculum has already built: biblical knowledge, sound doctrine, the Spirit's anointing, genuine love for people.
