LORD, ARISE AND LET RIGHTEOUS JUSTICE PREVAIL
Theme: Uproot • Overthrow • Destroy • Rebuild • Restore • Establish
Scriptural foundation:
Psalm 68:1–3; Psalm 45:6; Psalm 82:1–4; Jeremiah 1:10; Isaiah 9:7; Revelation 8:3–5
This is an appeal for divine intervention—not merely against wickedness, but for the preservation of human life, the deliverance of the oppressed, the restoration of righteous governance, and the salvation of the nations.
LORD, ARISE!
LET YOUR SCEPTRE OF RIGHTEOUS JUSTICE PREVAIL
An Appeal for the Nations Before the Throne of God
OPENING THE CRY OF THE NATIONS
O LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
Righteous Judge of all the earth!
King of kings and LORD of lords!
Lord of the Universe!
We come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ—Yeshua, our Redeemer and King.
Father, look upon the nations! Look upon the suffering of humanity.
Look upon the innocent blood being shed. Look upon the children who have lost their parents.
The parents who have buried their children. The families displaced from their homes.
The Christians persecuted and executed for their faith. The religious minorities, the vulnerable, the defenseless, and those whose cries are scarcely heard.
LORD, the violence, the cruelty, the oppression, and the destruction of human life are grievous!
And we ask
WHO WILL ARISE FOR THE AFFLICTED?
WHO WILL DEFEND THE DEFENCELESS?
WHO WILL EXECUTE JUSTICE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NO VOICE?
[LONG PAUSE]
LORD, YOU ARE THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGE!
I. LORD, ARISE LET YOUR SCEPTRE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS RULE
Psalm 45:6 Hebrews 1:8
Father, Your throne is established forever.
The scepter of Your Kingdom is a scepter of righteousness.
Therefore, we appeal to Your sovereign authority.
LORD, ARISE!
Let Your sceptre of righteousness be extended over the nations.
Let Your righteous judgement confront injustice.
Let Your truth expose deception.
Let Your holiness confront corruption.
Let Your justice defend the innocent.
LET YOUR RIGHTEOUS GAVEL FALL!
Not in indiscriminate destruction
But in judgements that uphold truth, restrain wickedness, protect human life, and establish justice.
Let Your righteous verdict overturn every unjust verdict.
Let the cries of the oppressed be heard.
Let the innocent receive protection.
Let the guilty be held accountable through righteous and just means.
LORD, ARISE AND LET YOUR ENEMIES BE SCATTERED!
Let the works of darkness be dismantled.
Let the plans of cruelty be frustrated.
Let the machinery of oppression lose its power.
And let the people held captive by fear, violence, and injustice be delivered.
II. LORD, HEAR THE APPEALS ASCENDING BEFORE YOUR THRONE
Revelation 8:3–5; Psalm 10:17–18
Father, daily there are appeals rising before Your throne.
The prayers of the persecuted.
The cries of the widows.
The tears of the orphans.
The petitions of the displaced.
The groaning of those imprisoned unjustly.
The silent anguish of those who cannot speak without risking their lives.
LORD, HEAR!
LORD, SEE!
LORD, REMEMBER!
LORD, ACT!
You see what we cannot see.
You hear what we cannot hear.
You know what has been concealed.
You know what has been planned in secret.
You know the innocent.
You know the perpetrators.
You know the systems that sustain injustice.
And You know the hearts of those entrusted with authority.
Nothing is hidden from Your sight.
LET EVERY CRY FOR RIGHTEOUS JUSTICE COME BEFORE YOUR THRONE.
And let Your wisdom govern Your response.
III. UPROOT OVERTHROW DESTROY
Jeremiah 1:10
Father, Your Word speaks of uprooting, tearing down, destroying, and overthrowing—and also of building and planting.
We appeal to You concerning the works and structures that perpetuate wickedness.
UPROOT!
Uproot corruption.
Uproot exploitation.
Uproot hatred and prejudice.
Uproot systems that profit from human suffering.
OVERTHROW!
Overthrow unjust schemes.
Overthrow the influence of deception.
Overthrow oppressive practices.
Overthrow the plans of those who deliberately harm the innocent.
DESTROY!
Destroy the works of darkness.
Destroy the machinery of persecution.
Destroy the structures that sustain human trafficking, terror, and cruelty.
Destroy the influence of evil wherever it seeks to corrupt justice and destroy lives.
Father, we are not appealing for the destruction of people.
We are appealing for the destruction of wicked works, the restraint of those committing violence, the protection of their victims, and the possibility of repentance.
LET RIGHTEOUSNESS PREVAIL!
IV. REBUILD RESTORE ESTABLISH
But Father, we do not stop at overthrowing wickedness.
Your purpose is not merely to remove what is wrong.
We ask You to establish what is right.
REBUILD!
Rebuild communities devastated by war.
Rebuild families fractured by violence.
Rebuild institutions entrusted with protecting human life.
Rebuild confidence where corruption has destroyed trust.
RESTORE!
Restore justice.
Restore dignity.
Restore freedom.
Restore hope.
Restore opportunities for children to learn, grow, and live in safety.
Restore communities where people can worship without fear.
ESTABLISH!
Establish righteous governance.
Establish transparent justice.
Establish accountable leadership.
Establish peace within communities.
Establish the protection of the vulnerable.
Establish conditions in which families and nations can flourish.
[LONG PAUSE]
LET YOUR KINGDOM COME!
LET YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN!
V. GIVE THE LEADERS YOUR HEART FOR THE PEOPLE
1 Timothy 2:1–2; Proverbs 21:1; Micah 6:8
Father, we bring before You the presidents, prime ministers, kings, governors, mayors, ministers, legislators, judges, military commanders, and all entrusted with public responsibility.
Give them Your heart for the nations they serve.
Give them compassion for their people.
Give them wisdom beyond political calculation.
Give them courage to protect the innocent.
Give them discernment to recognize deception.
Give them integrity to refuse corruption.
Give them humility to acknowledge wrongdoing.
Give them the strength to uphold justice, even when it costs them.
Where leaders have become indifferent
AWAKEN THEIR CONSCIENCES.
Where they are fearful
GIVE THEM COURAGE.
Where they lack wisdom
GIVE THEM UNDERSTANDING.
Where they have abused authority
BRING ACCOUNTABILITY AND REPENTANCE.
Where they are working faithfully for peace and justice
STRENGTHEN THEIR HANDS.
Father, let the responsibilities of government never become separated from the value of human life.
GIVE LEADERS YOUR HEART FOR THEIR PEOPLE!
VI. LET THE SILENCE BE BROKEN BY RIGHTEOUS ACTION
Psalm 82:3–4; Isaiah 1:17
Father, when the cries of suffering people are ignored, awaken those with the responsibility and ability to respond.
Hear the cries of the people of India, those with leprosy, and the people working with them in leper colonies around the world – Lord, we ask for the miraculous
For their daily needs and protection.
Awaken government leaders to their duty to care for and protect the people they are elected to serve.
Awaken the international community to the plight of the vulnerable.
Awaken journalists and those entrusted with communicating truth.
Awaken the Ekklesia to compassionate, courageous action.
Awaken communities to defend the rights and dignity of their neighbors.
Let truth be investigated.
Let facts be established.
Let injustice be confronted.
Let the suffering be acknowledged.
Let practical assistance reach those in danger.
LET SILENCE GIVE WAY TO TRUTH.
LET INDIFFERENCE GIVE WAY TO COMPASSION.
LET COMPASSION GIVE WAY TO COURAGE.
LET COURAGE GIVE WAY TO RIGHTEOUS ACTION.
VII. LORD, IN WRATH REMEMBER MERCY
Habakkuk 3:2
O LORD, remember mercy!
Mercy for the innocent.
Mercy for the persecuted.
Mercy for the children.
Mercy for the widows and orphans.
Mercy for those imprisoned unjustly.
Mercy for those displaced by conflict.
Mercy for those living beneath the threat of violence.
And Father, we pray even for those who have committed terrible wrongs.
Bring conviction.
Bring repentance.
Bring accountability.
Let them turn from violence and wickedness.
Let salvation reach even the hardest hearts.
We ask for justice without vengeance.
Truth without deception.
Authority without oppression.
