About
Rev. Troy Gagliardi was born in Canada to Canadian parents and makes his home on the beautiful West Coast of British Columbia. A man of broad experience and deep conviction, Troy brings over twenty years of non-profit leadership to his role as Co-Leader and Content Instructor at Liberty World Ministries — serving people across Canada and around the globe.
Holding a clergy licence and an Applied Master of Theology, Troy's academic formation is matched by a career that has spanned some of the most demanding sectors of human service — from financial industry and donor management to import and export, social services, addiction counselling, and pastoral training. He is not a man who has theorized about life's harder realities from a distance; he has walked alongside people through them.
Leadership Journey
Troy's leadership story began while he was still a teenager — assisting the youth pastor at the church his family attended. That early season planted seeds that have grown across decades: a passion for public speaking, the development of his gift of influence and inspiration, and a conviction that genuine leadership is about raising others up, not elevating oneself.
Having been part of a local leadership team overseeing eighty-six staff and hundreds of volunteers, the importance of a team has been well settled into who he is — and he appreciates each individual.— Rev. Troy Gagliardi
That large-scale NGO experience shaped something foundational in Troy: a team-centred philosophy of leadership that refuses to reduce people to their function. Every volunteer matters. Every staff member carries dignity. Every person in the room has something to contribute. This conviction infuses everything he brings to Liberty World Ministries.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10Experience
Few ministry leaders bring the breadth of real-world experience that Troy carries. His career has moved across sectors that might seem unlikely companions — and yet each one has shaped his ability to connect with people, understand systems, and serve with wisdom.
Experience in the financial sector and donor engagement, giving Troy a practical understanding of stewardship, accountability, and organizational sustainability.
International commerce experience that has broadened his cross-cultural awareness and appreciation for the complexity of global networks.
Front-line work in social services and addiction ministry — walking alongside people in their most vulnerable moments with compassion and professional skill.
Trained in counselling and pastoral formation, equipping both individuals in crisis and emerging ministry leaders for sustainable, fruitful service.
Proven track record leading large teams — including NGO oversight of eighty-six staff and hundreds of volunteers — with a people-first philosophy.
Community events and public relations have become a natural extension of his ministry — building bridges between the church and the broader world.
At Liberty World Ministries
At Liberty World Ministries, Troy serves as Co-Leader alongside Rev. Joseph H. Bauché and as a Content Instructor at Sozo Bible College. He brings his accumulated experience in ministry administration, strategic planning, and digital outreach to bear on LWM’s mission of equipping believers and reaching the nations.
His online teaching ministry extends the reach of Sozo Bible College beyond geographic boundaries — connecting students across Canada and internationally with biblically grounded, practically seasoned instruction. Troy’s courses reflect the full arc of his experience: theological depth alongside the kind of hard-won wisdom that only comes from decades of front-line ministry and leadership.
Beyond the Ministry
When he is not in the office or at the pulpit, Troy is most at home in community. Whether organizing or attending local events, building public relationships across the West Coast, or out on the open road on his motorcycle — he is someone who finds life and energy in movement, connection, and the people around him.
That same love of community and people is what drives him in ministry. For Troy, the gospel is not an institution to maintain — it is a life to be shared, on every road and in every room.
